Virginia is – in chronological order – a daughter, niece, cousin, sister, wife, mom, grandmom, and small business owner who loves life but realized she was missing her own hat. Can you relate?

Born in France into a career Army family, she spent the next 17 years moving around the states and Europe. The following 23 years were associated with career Air Force and moving 19 times in 21 years with 3 children and various family pets!

Being a member of the military community definitely had its great moments. Travel all over the U.S. and to foreign countries in Europe and the Far East, meeting people of different cultures, hearing other languages, was truly an education most people don’t get. Food, music, dancing, clothing, even nature was different depending on the country – some seemingly barren, others teeming with life.

Virginia had to also work full time as military pay just wasn’t enough to support her family, and she didn’t like it. “I had to miss so many of my kids firsts…I wasn’t there for them.” It wasn’t easy finding work every time they moved and tough on the kids (many times) moving in the middle of a school year.

“I vowed not to work away from home when the grandchildren were born.” Virginia has been a stay-at-home Grandma for the last 13 years through her home-based internet business.
