Banned foods in other countries need to be banned in America as well. Why aren’t they? The answer … Profit Margin. The big corporations are about making money. They really do not care about our health. Whenever you can, shop your local farmer’s market. Your health is worth paying a little more … isn’t it?
I would say to just look for ‘organic’; however, that term is defined differently …
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines organic as follows:
“Organic is a labeling term that indicates that the food or other agricultural product has been produced through approved methods. These methods integrate cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. Synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, irradiation, and genetic engineering may not be used. If you see the USDA organic seal, the product is certified organic and has 95 per cent or more organic content.”

More Americans need to be educated and stop watching TV ads. I was one of them. I thought if it’s advertised (promoted), it’s safe. If it’s stocked in my local grocery, then it’s healthy. Nothing could be further from the truth.
